- Campers stay in cabins and sleep on bunk beds.
- There is a registered nurse in EVERY cabin! So no need to worry about your child's diabetes, we've got it covered.
- Your child will need water shoes during summer camps (no open-toed shoes though).
- Dinner is served family style every night.
- Camp is Celiac friendly. Hodia’s Kitchen Liaisons prepare a similar menu to the typical camp menu for campers and staff with celiac. In addition, we use a separate kitchen to prepare this food, as well as dedicated pots, pans and cooking utensils.
- All campers and counselors at Hodia have some connection to type one diabetes, so campers can connect with others who are just like them.
